DOMAINE DE MONTLAUR

Charming guest houses with pools. South of France

A HUNDRED YEARS AGO

In 1921, Edouard Niermans, the famous architect of the Belle Epoque acquired by chance the Domaine de Montlaur, a vast vineyard which then extended over a hundred hectares. Little by little, the architect became passionate about ne culture and became a winegrower.
The following pages tell the story of the property and the turbulent history of its small Corbières village, Montlaur — Val de Dagne.
You will also find the fabulous history of the Hôtel Négresco, an emblematic figure in the city of Nice and a major work by Edouard Niermans, which he completed in 1913.
